Survival or Improvisational Strategies



From Communicative Competence, ( Richards and Schmidt, 2002)     

Strategic competence - that is, knowledge of communication strategies that can
compensate for weakness in other areas. 



Here you can see very clearly, that when somebody interacts (in this case the teacher) students have to "react fast". It is not easy of course, especially when you don't have a strong lexical backup, but this student knows how to transmit his message in a propper way.

Scrip based Improvisation
